Washington Capitals Free Agent tracker: Na shledanou, Vokoun

Written by Druce.

While the blogosphere contemplates, postulates and anticipates the NHL's Free Agency signing period, opening July 1st, Rock the Red will be keeping an eye on the latest updates surrounding the Washington Capitals' 4 Restricted Free Agents and 6 (+1 Bear) Unrestricted Free Agents. This will be updated accordingly as the off season plot unfolds.

The only factual news thus far is Tomas Vokoun'sproclamation that his signing with the Capitals was never intended to be mulit-year, and that he is leaving the team this off season in hopes of being picked up by another NHL team. If there aren't any takers in North America, he has claimed he will play for Lokomotiv Yaroslavl in the KHL where one of his best friends, former Nashville Predators teammate Josef Vasicek, was lost in last September's plane tragedy.
