Capitals Re-Sign Zach Hamill

The Washington Capitals announced the re-signing of restricted free agent forward Zach Hamill to a one-year contract.  The 5'11, 180 lb Hamill played 16 games for the Boston Bruins last season, posting 2 assists and a +3 rating.  Over parts of 3 seasons, Hamill has 4 assists and a +5 rating in 20 NHL games.  Hamill, who will turn 24 during training camp, was acquired from the Bruins in May in exchange for F Chris Bourque.  A veteran of 256 AHL games, Hamill is expected to start the season with the Hershey Bears.
