Capitals Re-Sign Jay Beagle

Per a team release, the Washington Capitals have re-signed center Jay Beagle to a three-year, $2.7 million contract. The deal will count $900,000 towards the salary cap for each of the next three years.
Beagle, 26, who was a restricted free agent, set career highs in goals (4), points (5) and games played (41) this past season. He broke out in the playoffs, where he won almost 60% of his faceoffs in a great defensive role under Dale Hunter. This is a great deal for Beagle and for the team, as the Caps get their fourth line center for under a million dollar cap hit.
