Rock the Red loves hearing from its readers. Whether it's submitting a question for the Great Zamboni or swapping stories, cheers, and beers at one of our viewing parties - we always welcome your thoughts (good or bad), pictures, stories, and other whatnot. Every once in a while we will compile the correspondence and share what we've received. Make the jump to see the cornucopia of today's collection!
First up, SlatedSign emailed us this picture of a Semyon Varlamov and Alexander Ovechkin figures he painted himself. Apparently he was sick and tired of his Ovi figure donning the old 'Black-and-Blue' jersey and not wearing a C. He writes:
Both figures were made by Upper Deck, the Ovy was originally him but in the old black uniforms. The Varly figure was originally Brodeur, but he looks much better as Varly.
We think the Brodeur figure looks better as Varlamov as well, but are even more stoked that he looks like Mega Man ready to attack.
Secondly, Spork27 sent us this picture of himself looking dapper in one of our Rock The Red t-shirts. He's smiling because he knows that all the proceeds go to Jose Theodore's charity, Saves for Kids.
Speaking of JT60, he was recently honored at a Washington National's game as a part of their "Random act of Red" segment. Check out the video below:
Lastly, we wanted to help spread the word that Mike "Screw Team Canada, I'll take the Norris" Green will be at the Giant Food Supermarket at 1454 Chain Bridge Road in McLean, Virginia this Saturday (April 10th) from Noon-1 PM. Stop by, say hi, and make sure to tell him good luck in the playoffs!
So if you have anything of interest, or just want to say hi.. throw us an email via the aptly named "Contact" tab along the taskbar. We promise we'll say hi back, as we're nice people, but please try to keep it civil as Mosborn has sensitive eyes.
